Synopsis:
Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher escape from the fortress in a jeep, pursued by Eddy Raja’s pirates in a car chase that takes them across the island. After evading the last of the pirates, Elena almost drives the jeep over the edge of a cliff, and it is left hanging over the edge. As Nate attempts to drive it back up, Eddy arrives and tells them to get out and give him the map. Nate reverses the jeep, backing it off the cliff and into the water below.
Game synopsis summary:
The plane is shot down mid-air, separating Nate from Elena when they parachute out. He tracks her to an old fort controlled by Eddy, who traps him and demands that he help him find the treasure. Elena arrives in a stolen jeep and breaks him out, but they are unable to outrun Eddy’s men. Stalling for time, Nate manages to drive the jeep over a cliff and into a lake surrounding the colony’s port. Tired, injured, and grieving Sully’s death, Nate decides to give up and return home. Elena convinces him to see Drake’s work through, and the two work together to reach the crumbling customs house, where Nate is able to trace the statue to an inland monastery. While on reconnaissance, they discover that Roman has also found the statue with help from the supposedly-dead Sully.
Game overall:
Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune is a 2007 action-adventure platform video game developed by Naughty Dog, and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for PlayStation 3. It is the first game in the Uncharted series. Combining action-adventure and platforming elements with a third-person perspective, the game charts the journey of protagonist Nathan Drake, supposed descendant of the explorer Sir Francis Drake, as he seeks the lost treasure of El Dorado, with the help of journalist Elena Fisher and mentor Victor Sullivan.
Treasure hunter Nathan Drake recovers the coffin of the explorer Sir Francis Drake, his ancestor, from the ocean floor off the coast of Panama, using coordinates inscribed on Drake’s ring in Nate’s possession. He is assisted by journalist Elena Fisher, who is there to record the events for a documentary. However, the coffin contains only a diary written by Sir Francis, pointing to the location of El Dorado, the fabled city of gold which he had sought, proving that he faked his death as Nate originally believed. After their boat is destroyed by a band of pirates who have been tracking Nate, Victor “Sully” Sullivan, Nate’s friend and partner, rescues them; he and Nate ditch Elena in order to covertly travel into the Amazon and find El Dorado, where they discover clues that it is in fact a large gold statue, and that it was removed long ago by Spanish Conquistadors. Searching further, Nate and Sully discover a long-abandoned Kriegsmarine U-boat containing a missing page from the Drake diary that points to a southern tropic island in the Pacific where the statue was likely taken.

Nathan Drake exits the under-chambers of the fortress and finds himself in a courtyard, at the base of a large tower. Noticing that the same tower has been drawn on the map that he recovered from the u-boat, he scales the tower’s outer walls, and inside uncovers a set of keys that allow him to proceed further into the fortress. Inside, he finds an English helmet and swords, alongside a message that reads, “Fletcher, we have gone to the great tower. I pray that you will meet us there. -Francis Drake.” The message is accompanied by a drawing of the tower, and a map leading to it.
It dawns on him that Francis Drake may never have made it off the island. He also notices Elena Fisher, who is standing near the base of the tower, filming the same sight across the harbor. Two of Eddy Raja’s pirates, armed with an M79 grenade launcher, sneak up to a ledge behind her and prepare to kill her. Nate opens fire on them, and they turn and fire at him instead. The resulting blast destroys a portion of the tower and knocks Nate unconscious.
He is awoken in a jail cell by Elena, who is throwing stones in at him through the barred window. She informs him that it will just take a tug to pull the bars out, and disappears as Eddy Raja enters the jailhouse, carrying Nate’s map. Eddy tells Nate that his men are dying, and that they “can’t even go outside to take a piss without an armed guard.” She uses the jeep to rip the back wall out of the cell, and as Eddy stares in shock, Nate grabs the map from his hands and escapes through the wall. He climbs into the jeep and the two drive into the jungle, pursued by Raja’s men.

My seventh episode of the Let’s Play Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune! Don’t forget to check it out and comment on what you liked or on anything else! Don’t forget to give a like and subscribe as well!
Nathan Drake scales the outer walls of the fortress before breaking in through one of its windows. He finds himself inside the fortress walls, but outside the building itself, stuck in its many outer courtyards. He fights through waves of Eddy Raja’s pirates as he searches for Elena Fisher, and makes his way toward a small ruined tower that her parachute is hanging off. Upon arriving, he finds the parachute harness empty. However, he glimpses Elena filming out through one of the upper windows. Looking for a way up to her, he enters the flooded chambers beneath the fortress and pushes his way forward, again fighting through large groups of pirates.
While on reconnaissance, they discover that Roman has also found the statue with help from the supposedly-dead Sully. While in pursuit, Elena falls through a bridge and reluctantly discards her camera so that Nate can save her. Nate subsequently catches up to Sully and accuses him of betrayal, to which Sully reveals that he was only pretending to help, having survived Roman’s bullet by using the notebook as a shield.

Brazilian Let’s Play Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune | Plane Wrecked | Part 4

Standard

My fourth episode of the Let’s Play Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune.

Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher are travelling in Victor Sullivan’s plane to an uncharted island in the South Pacific; the location marked on the map that Nate discovered inside the U-boat and supposed location of the El Dorado statue. Elena films their approach with her camera, recording for a new episode of her show. Without warning, they are hit by an anti-aircraft fire which destroys one of their engines. Nate tells Elena that they must bail out, and to look for parachutes while he desperately tries to keep control of the plummeting plane. Elena finds two parachutes. She jumps, with Nate telling her that he will be right behind. In his hurry to get off the plane, he leaves the map behind. He jumps and opens his parachute, only to discover that it has been pierced and has a hole in it. He plummets to the jungle below.

Nate awakens to find himself dangling from a statue, still strapped into his parachute. He cuts himself loose and ventures into the jungle, heading towards the distant column of smoke rising from the wreck of his plane. Following several gunfights with Eddy Raja’s pirates, he eventually finds the front end of the plane in an encampment and is relieved to see that the map is still in one piece. He also discovers that several spike traps have been set throughout the jungle, which impale anyone unlucky enough to trigger them. Navigating through the jungle, and around these traps, he arrives at the wall of a large fortress, and with no other way in other than up the walls, he starts climbing.
